Beginner Mushroom Foray
Join our certified mushroom identification expert as you explore a local forest, stay on the trail or dive into the woods to find and discover the wide range of mushrooms that grow near you. Joining this event will serve as an initial step into the hobby of mushroom hunting with a focus on how to find what can often be elusive and hidden within the woods around us.
Intermediate Mushroom Foray
This mushroom hunt is the next step in your journey into the fungal world. With a foundation in place of how and where to look for fungi, this hunt will focus heavily on identification of specimens found. Using field guides, tools and other resources you will build on prior knowledge and gain confidence with mushroom identification.
Advanced Mushroom Foray
The advanced mushroom hunt is for those with a good base of knowledge in hunting for and identifying fungi. This class will focus on foraging safe culinary mushrooms that can be cooked and eaten. Finding wild mushrooms and incorporating them into meals and cooking is a skill you will have after going on this foray.
School Field Trips
Phillip, our certified mushroom identification expert is passionate about teaching the next generation about the world around them. Having two young kids of his own, they often join him on hikes into the wild. He has lead several field trips for kids in grades ranging 1st-9th.
